S.O.C.: " Girls not Grey" by AFI..."Shake it" bu Outkast ^-^ Whoo diversity

Go ahead and laugh I'm listening to the Alice song. Now let me go on my I hate fucking poser tangent. Where's N.E.R.D. when you need them lol. OKay okay here we go. Here in Hinesville no joke every other "punk/goth" person has either and AFI patch or a shirt or wristband or some eye liner....and they where all of those seeminly every damn day. Mind you these "Die-hard" fans have no idea that they've been making music since the early 90s if not earlier (I'm not sure I'm not really a fan). I mean dude good for you that you listen to the band but....change your shirt and wash the eye liner off not everyone can pull it off. That's just annoying. I can't stand people like that...and they only know that single ::shakes head:: Ehh go jump down a rabbit hole and get a freakin clue (btw for those of you that got lost it's a music video ref)

Personally I'll horde my beautiful semi underground band of choice--Thursday. I don't want these freakin rich annoying kids whereing a War all the time shirt unless they know what it is you know? I mean I'm not say obsees with the band....it's like those losers that only watched DBZ and they throw the word otakon about...it's just not right.

::starts pushing anime and good music away from the main stream and back into the darkness and whipes out Flash light::

See this way we all know where to find it and it won't be desanctified..........

SO YEAH MERRY CHRISTMAS

Lecture's Letter

Dear Clarice,
I have followed with enthusiasm the course of your disgrace and public shaming. My own never bothered me, except for the inconvenience of being incarcerated, but you may lack perspective.

In our discussions down in the dungeon, it was apparent to me that your father, the dead night watchman, figures large in your value system. I think your success in putting an end to Jame Gumb’s career as couturier pleased you most because you could imagine your father doing it.

Now you are in bad odor with the FBI . Have you always imagined your father ahead of you there, have you always imagined him a section chief, or—better even than Jack Crawford—a DEPUTY DIRECTOR, watching your progress with pride? And now do you see him shamed and crushed by your disgrace? Your failure? The sorry, petty end of a promising career? Do you see yourself doing the menial tasks your mother was reduced to, after the addicts busted a cap in your DADDY? Hmmmm? Will your failure reflect on them, will people forever wrongly believe that your parents were trailer camp tornado bait white trash? Tell me truly, Special Agent Starling.

Give it a moment before we proceed.

Now I will show you a quality you have that will help you: You are not blinded by tears, you have the onions to read on.

Here’s an exercise you might find useful. I want you physically to do this with me:

Do you have a black iron skillet? You are a southern mountain girl, I can’t imagine you would not. Put it on the kitchen table. Turn on the overhead lights.

Look into the skillet, Clarice. Lean over it and look down. If this were your mother’s skillet, and it well may be, it would hold among its molecules the vibrations of all the conversations ever held in its presence. All the exchanges, the petty irritations, the deadly revelations, the flat announcements of disaster, the grunts and poetry of love.

Sit down at the table Clarice. Look into the skillet. If it is well cured, it’s a black pool, isn’t it? It’s like looking down a well. Your detailed reflection is not in the bottom, but you loom there, don’t you? The light behind you, there you are in blackface, with a corona like your hair on fire.

We are elaborations of carbon, Clarice. You and the skillet and Daddy dead in the ground, cold as the skillet. It’s all still there. Listen. How did they really sound, and live—your struggling parents. The concrete memories, not the imagi that swell your heart.
Why was your father not a deputy sheriff, in tight with the courthouse crowd? Why did your mother clean motels to keep you, even if she failed to keep you all together until you were grown?
What is your most vivid memory of the kitchen? Not the hospital. The kitchen.

What is your best memory in the kitchen?

Your father, Clarice, was a night watchman. Your mother was a chambermaid.

Was a big federal career your hope or theirs? How much would your father bend to get along in stale bureaucracy? How many buttocks would he kiss? Did you ever in your life see him toady or fawn?

Have your supervisors demonstrated any values, Clarice? How about your parents, did they demonstrate any? If so, are those values the same?

Look into the honest iron and tell me. Have you failed your dead family? Would they want you to suck up? What
was their view on fortitude? You can be as strong as you wish to be.

You are a warrior, Clarice. The enemy is dead, the baby safe. You are a warrior.

The most stable elements, Clarice, appear in the middle of the periodic table, roughly between iron and silver.

Between iron and silver. I think that is appropriate for you

Yeah OKay Nancy came by a few days ago and gave me my gift. Dude it was a sword! IT WAS SOOO COOL!! It has dragons a phonix on the sheath and on the hilt it looks like a demons mouth the sword itself also has phoniexs and dragons its cool I'll take picks later on. I got a box from Danny ^-^ HE GOT ME HANNIBAL!! I'm so typing that letter later on. And Run LoLa Run (a German Film he and I both love) and crayons! Whoo! He forgot the coloring book lol but that's okay in my package I left out his picture of Rhodes. Now Everyone You know how I am I'm always a little behind on what to get people! For Nancy I was going to get this awesome insense burner with a fairy and amushroom but some evil made it get sold. But that's okay I got an idea as to what to get her when she gave me my sword ^-^ Nancy I'll explain the significance of each item when I see you okay! As for my lovely Columbus people...you have no X-mas Presents because I just wrapped your Birthday present a few days ago and now the box is sitting here next to me saying send me send me! OKay but the reason it's late is because haha...It took me a long time to find just the right thing (because I think too much) Junior is the only one I have and X-mas gift for and that's because I already had it (I've had it since bloody Oct.) But more than liekly his Birthday Present will be late...:;sigh:: I'm sooo off!!

I want to be able to do like my brothers and say, "I'm going on a date," and hear them reply "Okay, have a nice time." I want to be up front and honest!

Me too!! But you know what I tried being that way once about 5 years ago and it didn't work. So to tell the truth I haven't been honest in that aspect of my life with my parents in years ^-^ and it works. I mean if they don't like it then hell they can screw over my whole damn life you know? But hey it's not so hard to lie I promise. It's sad that I can be upfront with all my friends and I'm known for it But not my own family. Oh well life goes on they lie to me too I'm sure so fuck it.

Is there anything like a non disfunctional family?Anyone? Because Well either your family is divored (everyone except) or supremely oppressive (I think Jonnell Peter and I land here). Can we not have middle ground? Any takers? Lets try to be better parents guys...please I know that mostly you do exactly what you hated about your parents but come on let's give it a stomp okay ? Just try...::sigh::.Well here's some quiz fun

You are Iñigo Montoya.
You are Inigo Montoya. You have spent your life
training in the art of fencing and seeking
revenge for the killing of your father. And

Okay one thing Hinesville has is music. Music is something people feel very strong about. This is Hinesville's GOOD band in my opinion. There are lots of so called bands around here (need I mention Meer? If you can even call them a band? And whatever happened to Lips Sewn Shut?) Okay Credit to LISETTE who put this on (I knew aobut the band since the first week here but I never heard their music) and asked me to guess who. By the quality of the recording I knew it could only be Headcheck plus she went to a concert the night before hehe she invited a lot of us but most of us were too young to get into the club. Thing that surprised me was I like the music ^-^ Lisette can tell you what a hard person I am to please when it comes to pleasing me in the music department. I have a straight edge in my taste and I don't vary too often. This...felt familiar I'm not sure. But hey basically I ask that my main music person (Lum!) take a listen to them and see what she thinks. click on music and click on the little media player icon and you listen to it there.

HeadCheck

If you like it spread the word please! I'll burn a copy and fling it that way if you like and see if we can't get HeadCheck a bigger fan base. Luck boys! Yeah night for real!

Yearbook is insane!!! Lord! Okay First off someone lost almost all the band/flag/guard/jrotc/drill team/colorguard/rifel team pictures...those are my section and Natalie's. Guess when we found out? Last week on Thursday. Do you know when our deadline is tomorrow!!! Oh yeah apply pressure to stop the bleeding. So basically in 3 days we had to retake all these pictures.

Insert DRAMA!~ Okay retaking Guard pics and these two girls want to haswh out some old grudge. Good Lord that was brutial. My Asian is truly stong (Nancy). She deals with those stupid people EVERYDAY! How I don't know but oh my God! Almost all of them think they are freakin diva's or something. Talking trash to me and I stayed realtively calm--ask Nancy I was pretty composed but not for much longer. I sat outside with Nancy on the bleachers for a bit and talked to her. She was perfectly calm or jaded to the stupidity but I took heart in her stillness and got the job done...in no less than about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Nancy is so cool.

Next had to stay afterschool to catch the drill and rifle and all those other people. I love boys!! They usually don't have the diva problem ^-^ Power to ROTC!!! Respect in a can. Found Rhodes and I talked to him for about a solid hour (he followed me around after I got his group's shots. We talked about Dan and the fact that his mom had said no to coming back to visit he told me a few funny stories and such I updated him on Dan since I talk to him the most and such. It was nice to talk to Rhodes. Rhodes is....how do I explain the relationship here...Okay everyone knows how I'm like everyone''s mom/sister or some other type of family memeber(one word Jonnell:Robert) and how we all have our family sects? THIS IS NO DIFFERENT. I'm like Rhodes' keep since Dan left and vice versa but we see each other so sparingly that our jobs are kinda non exsistant.

Well...all the pics got taken!!! And the teacher is developing the fil so we should have them tomorrow to finish everything in photo finish fashion!!! Ohh...sorry about the pun guys. Anyway yeah that's about it^-^ Everyone have a nice day!

::grumbles:: God Fammit...I can't sleep...I hate that I've been lying in bed thinking for nearly 2 hours that's not good. You know the only reason I got out of the damn bed because Lisette told me once it's not good to lay in bed with wakfulness. She said your mind creates association with...restlessness and the bed or laying down or such. So I got up. I read some Red Dragon...I like the character of Will it's rather funny. I went to the library today to find A Clockwork Orange...checked it out but my dumb self didn't check to see if all 21 chapters were there...it only has 20 of course.

Hmm I've nothing to say...I wanted to do this in hopes that staring at the screen or something would make me sleepy or something....man....Oh! My November born people (Lum CAt and Peter) I finally got your presents (I found out UPS only comes over here like 2 times a month the 10th and the 25th I think or somewhere in that window.) Comparing Monks

Many religions of the world have different rules and doctrines. Some state that it is necessary to pray five times a day others say that one must dunk oneself in water in order to become holy enough to live on in the after life. With so many different ways of viewing the proper way of living a life, is there anything that they share in common? An aspect one might consider is that of monks. A monk is a person who isolates himself from typical ways of life to immerse himself completely in his religious activities. Tibetan monks and Christian monks are perhaps the easiest monks to compare because it seems that their teachers, their beliefs and their interaction with the outside world are similar.
King Songsten Gampo’s two wives are believed to have introduced Buddhism to Tibet, but it was Trisong Detsen, more than 100 years later, that first to truly accept Buddhism. The first diffusion began when King Trisong Detsen adopted the religion and built the first monastery at Samye. Buddhism prospered for a short time until King Langdarma seized power and began monk persecution. Ironically, Langdarma was assassinated by a Buddhist monk. Two hundred years later, the second diffusion began in the 11th century. After thriving for almost nine hundred years, the Tibetan monks became, arguably, the most religious society on earth and the most scholarly branch of Buddhism (Bowker 975). Sadly, their religious activity was banned from 1966-1979 due to Chinese communist occupation.
The Tibetan Buddhist monks have been fiercely persecuted throughout their inhabitance in Tibet; however, the Indian government has taken action to see that the monks’ life style is preserved. The discrimination of the monks began with King Langdarma. This intolerance was so relentless that some historians separate Buddhism in Tibet into the “first and second diffusions” (Bowker 974). The Chinese communists demolished monasteries, imprisoned monks, and forced them to give up their religious beliefs (Tsechen Damchos Ling Buddhist Monastery). Thankfully, the Indian government established refugee resettlement areas. One of the biggest refugee areas is known as “Tibetan village No. 1 in the Tibetan colony of Mundgod” (Tsechen Damchos Ling Buddhist Monastery). This village has a population of 13,200 people and about 4,000 are monks. Today Buddhism in Tibet remains under strict regulation. The number of monks within the monasteries is limited to only those who have been evaluated by the Communist Party committee that governs each monastery. Also, humane rights groups estimate that the majority of China’s Tibetan political prisoners are monks (Bowker 975).
Christian monks also flourished in the beginning, but sadly, as time passed, like the Buddhist monks, they too became the target of government discrimination. Christian monasticism began with desert monks aspiring to live life in the strictest ordinance of Christ’s teachings. As time elapsed, the founders each left their own mark on the monk way of life by building sets of rules that were to be followed. The rules for living in a monastery were called the rule. A monastery can be in a pastoral area or in a city. “It may consist of a small walled in group of huts, or a huge complex that houses hundreds of people. But it is designed to isolate its people from the world outside” (Monasticism” 701). In 271 AD, Saint Anthony of Thebes traveled to the desert alone to lead a holy life. Eventually others followed his example. In the early 300’s Saint Pachomius gathered some of the desert hermits into monasteries. Saint Pachomius also wrote a set of rules for monks to inhabit an area under the rule of a superior (“Religious Life” 226) Shortly after, Saint Basil in Asia Minor adopted Saint Pachomius’ rules and Christianity spread. In the 500’s Saint Benedict built upon the ideas of the formers and set up instructions for setting up a monastic government for the daily lives of monks (“Religious Life” 226). There are three vows that Christian monks take: Poverty, which requires that the monk not own any private property; chastity, which is refraining from sexual relations; and obedience, which consists of following orders of those above one on the monk hierarchy. Although monks grew throughout the ages they too suffered from government persecution. In the 1800’s, some forms of government did not tolerate affiliates of any religion that treated the sick or who taught the poor (“Religious Life” 226).
Although both sets of monks had different teachers, they seemingly said similar things. The lives of Jesus and Siddhartha Gautama, better known as the Buddha, never intersected their teachings are very much the same; however, they both led very different lives. Gautama, on the other hand, began his quest for enlightenment at the age of 29 and practiced asceticism, “the principle of self denial for the purpose of attaining a heightened state of spiritual awareness” (Rohmann 29), for six years. Eventually, he found these to be ineffective means and decided to go into contemplation. Guatama meditated under a bo tree, better known as a fig tree, for seven weeks and there he attained “perfect enlightenment, or Buddhahood” (Rohman 47). Enlightenment is defined as “perfect awareness or understanding” (Rohman 48) or “coming to truth out of ignorance” (Rohman 115). After reaching enlightenment the Buddha spread his knowledge to five disciples. His teaching sought to be released from life’s unavoidable suffering and reach Nirvana, a pure spiritual state free from suffering, delusions, and all attachments” (Rohman 48) . The first step to being free from suffering, attain enlightenment, and reaching Nirvana lies in accepting the Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths stated that life is suffering, that suffering steams from desires and ignorance, suffering ends when want is overcome, and to overcome want, one must follow the Eight Fold Path or Middle way (Zen Guide).
Jesus’ ministry, on the other hand, only lasted from one to three years commencing with his cousin John baptizing him in the River Jordan and ending with his crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus’ followers believe that he was the Messiah, or the prophesized one that would create God’s Kingdom on earth. Jesus stressed following the Ten Commandments and stated that salvation could be attained by believing that he was the son of God (Rohmann 210). In believing this, it is stated that one would achieve everlasting life. Jesus sought to reunify the people with God. Christians, or the followers of Jesus, believe that with Jesus’ sacrifice he had ensured the deliverance of the souls of mankind forever. Christians reenact several of Jesus acts through sacraments, ceremonies symbolizing the presence of God’s grace, favor, and blessing (Rohmann 61), that they believe will help them attain salvation and reunification with God in his kingdom.
After studying the teachings of the Buddha and Christ, one could see that they are much alike. Guatama’s The Eight Fold Path consists of: “right understanding” or the knowledge of the Four Noble Truths; “right thoughts” which are thoughts against “sense-pleasure” and benevolent thoughts; “right speech” means to speak sparingly and positively; “right action” states that one will remain a virgin and one will not kill or steal; “right livelihood” states that one must earn a living in a way that doesn‘t harm others, “right effort” says that one must stop evil that already exists, prevent evil from rising again, encourage good, and spread good in the future; “right mindfulness” is being aware of one’s actions, thoughts and speech; “right meditation is to train the mind to focus on a single object and to remain fixed upon the object without wavering” (Zen Guide). However, Jesus emphasized strictly following the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments state:
Insert commandments
Jesus also stated to “Love God with your whole heart, and your neighbor as yourself” (Rohmann 210), which some believe to summarize the main focus of Jesus’ ministry. Also in Jesus’ teachings is the idea of being selfless and perform acts of charity. Christians also sought to turn away from material possessions, rejecting acts of violence and acting only with love and kindness to their fellow man. Although they had different rules and means, both Jesus and the Buddha wanted the same thing. They both desired to bring people freedom from suffering and pain either by giving up superficial items, acting in a way that abstained from harming other, and believing in something to come that would release them from their sorrow.
Although monks are mostly peaceful educated beings, both Tibetan Buddhist monks and Christian monks have been persecuted by the governments they coincide with. The monk way of life is portrait by their teachers, Buddha and Jesus, as a way of reunification with what or who created them. Sadly, their peaceful way of life has often been pestered by outside forces due to their nature of educating the poor and giving hope that by following the teachings of the Buddha or Christ they may find paradise. One can see that both sets of monks are similar in many aspects from their teachers to their desire to help the people.

Grr well now I have to go to bed sleepy or not...stupid father...hmm one day I'll be free of your tyranny!

Topic: A Clockwork Orange
S.O.C.: "Morning Glow" from the FFX-2 Yuna Voice Collection

"By definition, a human being is endowed with a free will. He can use this to chose between good and evil. If he can only perform good or only perform evil, then he is a clockwork orange- meaning that he has the appearance of an organism lovely with color and juice but is infact only a clock-work toy to be wound up by God or the Devil or(since this is increasingly replacing both) The Alimighty State. It is inhuman to be totally good as it is to be totally evil. The important thing is moral chioce. Evil has to exist along with good, in order that moral choice may operate. Life is sustained by the grinding opposition of moral choice."

I love this book. Burgess was a genius. The man took the entire theme of the book and placed it right there for any one that might have missed it. I can't remember if he placed it in as one of Alex's opinion or in the Foreward. Amazing... another wonderful point is that somewhere in the book...well hold on let me tell you about what this book is.

The book is set somewhat in the future...lawlessness is accepted and the youth...somewhat run the place. The book is written mostly in English but there are many many words in Russian and it takes you a while to catch on. Alex and his friends (droogs) are basically like a gang and they do as they please early on in the book they steal a car, get into a fight, bet up many a person and kill a few more. Eventually though Alex's droogs dip on him and Alex's winds up in jail. At which point...he doesn't reform at all they simply...........mess with his mind and mold him into what they want him to be. Soon after his release he tries to kill himself because he can't function in his own life because of the job they have done on him mentally. In the end though he is fixed...but the most awesome point is this.

Alex is a "horrible" human being to anyone of any standard but...is he better acting of his own will or just doing what he is programmed to do? That's the question of the book right there. In the end Alex does change of his own free will but for better or for worse. The point is he does change of his own free will. Alex says at one point in the book talking about people who live under pretext where they really are no better than he is they just pretend he says "I do what I do because I like to do it." Simple as that. Evil then evil but at least he doesn't live thinking he's doing the right thing ya know? I think it's a wonderful book although very short I wish I had it I read it on loan. In anycase this book isn't for everyone not by any means at all so I don't suggest it to most of you. It's....not scary not gory nothing really but it WILL make you wonder about your perception on thing if you believe in perception or can understand the idea of it. This is one of those books that helped me establish my perception theory. So most of you will probably hate it.

Anywho I just felt like sharing. Bye

S.O.C.: "Kuon-killer to Nami no Kioku" From the Final Fantasy X-2 Soundtrack

Tomorrow, at dawn

Tomorrow, at dawn, at the hour that whitens the land,
I will leave. You see, I know that you are waiting for me.
I will go by the forest, I will go by the mountain.
I can remain away from you no longer.

I will walk, the eyes fixed on my thoughts,
Seeing nothing outside of me, hearing no noise,
Alone, unknown, the back bent, the hands crossed,
Sad, and the day for me will be like night.

I will look at neither the coming night
Nor the sails on far descending towards Harfleur,
And when I will arrive, I will place on your grave
A bouquet of green holly and of heather in flower.
